Best watches : While the circa $10 Casio F91W-1 probably also deserves a place on a list like this, we’ll begin with the awesome World Time just to avoid Casio-overload. But the Japanese brand is undeniably strong in this price point with tough, reliable, dirt-cheap watches. Oh, and some people find them to be quite stylish as well. This Casio World Time offers all these attributes and more (including world time, calendar, and alarms) with a dash of retro-futuristic nostalgia, and it’s surprisingly robust for such a great price. Using an automatic movement based on an old caliber originally from Seiko, the Orient 3 Star is a simple, utilitarian automatic akin to the Seiko 5. While there’s not much in the way of fit and finish, it does have a well-proportioned 37.5mm case, a stainless steel bracelet and a colorful dial. Its as simple of an automatic watch that you can get, but therein lies its charm.

Sports gear : Choosing the right running shoes for you is very important for getting the best results. On’s running shoes are generally geared more towards fast running, with the distinctive pods on the sole offering a great cushioning-to-weight ratio that makes them especially good for long races in particular. However, with the Cloudsurfer the focus is more on providing plenty of support for your daily training. The shoe has an extra layer of EVA cushioning on the heel of the shoe to ensure a soft landing, and the ride is far less firm than on other On shoes in general, making the Cloudsurfer a great for easy efforts in particular. The Cloudsurfer is certainly a shoe made for the road, and lacks traction if you do step off the tarmac, which is inadvisable at any rate due to the pods’ mildly annoying habit of picking up small pebbles.

Best gifts : The bobble head doll seemed to be deemed a 20th century relic by the turn of the century, but Major League Baseball again brought back the bobble head doll from pop culture oblivion. The San Francisco Giants presented the Willie Mays bobble head doll on May 9, 1999 to 20,000 visitors to their ballpark celebrating the 40th anniversary of Candlestick Park, which was the last year of the Giants playing at that stadium by the bay. That ushered in a whole new era of bobble head madness. Baseball teams throughout the United States began to offer the bobble head doll as a promotional item for their fans and bobble head dolls were one of the most popular and eagerly sold items in the early days of eBay along with Pez.

Camping and hiking gear : While many white noise machines do feature nature sounds, the real-world wilderness is much noisier and not calibrated to a steady volume. With bristling trees, crunching underbrush, and random movements of the great outdoors, it will be louder than you expect. Bring earplugs to help block out the noise. You can also download a white noise machine app for your phone or iPod. Many of these feature timers so you won’t drain your entire battery in one night. Blocking out the noise not only helps you fall asleep faster, it prevents you from getting alarmed by any strange noises that are actually nothing to worry about. A small history of watches and some advices for buying the perfect watch. Heritage 1973 Chronograph 43mm satin-polished stainless steel case, black calf leather strap. The Swiss brand first engaged with motor racing during the Fifties, finding its greatest success in the Seventies sponsoring entrants at the Le Mans 24-hour endurance races and claiming a podium first place with French car builder Alpine at the Monte Carlo Rally World Championship in 1973. This year’s Heritage release revisits Tissot’s original mechanical racing watch, the Navigator, fairly faithfully while adding new tweaks. Inside the polished steel 43mm case, the three-dial panda layout is highlighted with green Super-LumiNova indices and sporty little neon-orange counters, the date window is repositioned between 4 and 5 o’clock, and it’s all mounted on a period-perfect black perforated leather racing strap. Limited to an appropriate 1,973 pieces, the race is on to catch up with one.

Let’s move on to the under 1000 USD category. The latest iteration of Orient’s beloved, mid-century-style dress watch. The domed dial now comes in an excellent slate-gray colorway and features rose gold accents. The watch also gets an updated suede strap. Ticking underneath is an automatic movement from Orient featuring hand-winding and hacking seconds. If you want excellent modern design in a watch, you don’t need to pay much, fortunately. Braun’s BN0211 has won both an iF and a Red Dot award for its minimal, stealthy aesthetic. A yellow seconds hand pops against a stealthy black dial and sleek black case, and the watch comes mounted on a comfortable stainless steel mesh bracelet. With few exceptions, Timex abandoned mechanical movements in favor of digital and quartz movements years ago. That’s exactly why Timex’s reissue of the famed Marlin is so exciting. It’s now available with an automatic movement underneath, and if that weren’t enough, it comes with a sleek case, dial, and strap design that truly look like they were plucked from the 1960s.

TAG Heuer, founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland, and long a favorite of motorsports enthusiasts, is a name that commands instant respect in every watch-loving quarter. Only occasionally are any of their pieces attainable under the £1K mark — and when they are, you should definitely drop the coin. With a rubber strap and stainless steel case, this watch is ideal for rugged adventures. While it is not suited for scuba diving, it is capable of withstanding up to 660 ft of water. In addition, the iconic Formula 1 model has the distinction of having been worn by actual Formula 1 drivers. An updated pilot watch is a sharp style that adds something interesting to any watch collection, thanks to its intricate looking chronographs and large numbers you can read at the quickest of glances. Alpina is known for its pilot watches and movements, so if you are looking for one under £1,000, this is the brand to beat. This clean timepiece on a stainless steel bracelet also looks great with a T-shirt and jeans since it has been designed with the modern man’s movements in mind.

Bat-signal Joker The Scream T-shirt and T-shirts funny stories

T-Shirts are the easiest fashion item to make it reflect your personality. Funny messages, deep meaning messages, you can make them say anything! Basic tees get their name from being, well…basic. This involves subtle simple styles, plain designs, and neutral shades. Tones like black, white, grey and navy all fall into this category and are your go-to T-shirt must-haves before you even think about anything else. Bright colours and bold patterns can wait, it’s all about fashion’s timeless pieces. Coloured T-Shirts are a wonderful thing. They have the ability to lift your outfit out of the dark and create a textured look. Below are our top choices for the coloured tee.

We carry eight different T-shirt neckline options – crewneck, v-neck, deep v-neck, henley, hooded, off the shoulder, ringer, and scoop neck. The most popular, classic T-shirt neckline is the crewneck T-shirt featuring a round neckline that can be worn with layers if desired. Another popular option is our v-neck T-shirt featuring a stylish v neckline shape that is available in a multitude of colors. If you’re searching for a shirt featuring a collar neckline, we carry custom dress shirts and personalized polo options as well.

Embroidery is when the image or logo is translated into a design using thread, creating a textured look and feel. This works best with solid color logos but doesn’t work as well with displaying fine detail and small text. Keep in mind that Embroidery is on the heavy side for T-shirts, so it is recommended to embroider a heavyweight tee. I bought some funny t-shirts at TeeSnails, you should check them. Buy the Steve Ahoy Stranger Things 3 T-shirt now!

Grey: Jersey or grey marl is a mixture of different shades, and the final textured effect is extremely flattering – especially if searching for a T-shirt to visually enhance your body shape. That said, guys who naturally sweat a lot should tread with caution as grey will make it significantly more noticeable. Black: Although black remains a popular shade of T-shirt, it does come with pros and cons. On a positive note, a black T-shirt offers a rebellious alternative to the classic white option. However, the colour is known to fade quickly as well as feel warmer in hot conditions.

The ideal t-shirt for work uniforms should be durable, comfortable and practical. With this in mind, we would recommend the Gildan Men’s Ring Spun, SoftStyle T-Shirt. Features such as the taped neck and twin needle stitching at the sleeves and hem help add strength to the t-shirt, helping to ensure it will last. The fabric is also incredibly soft and smooth meaning not only is it great for print but it’s comfortable too! We also have a women’s version available too which encompasses the same features.

Coffee subscription in our online store

Let’s talk about coffee, coffee types and flavors. Flat White : The two most Kiwi coffees available are the long black and the flat white – as both originated in New Zealand and Australia. For a flat white, the steamed milk from the bottom of the jug (which is usually not so frothy, but rather creamy) is poured over a shot of espresso. It is now popular among mums and dads at school fetes who are desperately trying to stay awake. Long Black : Hot water is poured into a cup, and then two shots of espresso are poured into the water. If you do the inverse of this, it will result in an Americano. Long blacks can be quite strong, and have more crema (a creamy foam that tops espresso shots) than an Americano.

Two less common types are Liberica and Excelsa, which are rarely seen, especially in the United States. The former is grown exclusively in the Phillipines and is not imported at all into the States. On the other hand, the latter (which is often considered a genus of Liberica beans) only makes up about 7% of the world’s consumption and are grown in Southeast Asia.

Gesha/Geisha: This is an original variety of Arabica. It is named for the Ethiopian village that it originated from and wasn’t actually planted/harvested commercialy until the 1950s. It is resistant to coffee rust and is now primarily grown in Panama. The trees are rather tall with notably long leaves that mimic the shape of the beans. Obviously, these aren’t nearly all of the coffee varieties that are out there, but we figured it might help to get an idea of how they are all interconnected. For further reading, Medium has a helpful “periodic table” to help demonstrate the connections. And the World Coffee Research catalog is a great research if you want to more specifically explore individual Arabica varieties. Now let’s more on to the simultaneously less and more complex world of coffee drinks, shall we? Cold Brew Coffee – A method of brewing that doesn’t use hot water. Instead, cold water and a longer period of time is used to create the finished cold coffee beverage. Filtered or Drip Coffee – A method of brewing where coffee is placed into a paper filter and hot water is poured onto it allowing it to drip into the carafe below.

Lungo – Lungo is often confused with Americano, but it’s not at all the same. Lungo is a long shot prepared by extracting double the amount of water with same amount of coffee grounds. In figures, it means, 50 ml of water is extracted with 7 grams of coffee. This results in extraction of more caffeine, but with dissolved off-notes of coffee. It’s a less popular drink but it’s a preferred drink for people who demand more caffeine. Caffe Crema – An extra long espresso drink served in Northern Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It has different flavor profile than related drinks like Lungo and Americano due to different extraction process. Rough brewing ratios of ristretto, normale, lungo, and caffè crema are 1:2:3:6 and the average water part per shot is 6 oz (180ml). Cafe Zorro – This is a double shot of espresso that is added to water in a 1:1 ratio. See more info on The Best Coffee.

It overlooks the internal marina of Bodrum filled with millions of dollars worth of sailing crafts.

Just south of Antalya, the jaw-dropping mammoth bulk of the Roman Theater of Aspendos celebrates the pomp and ceremony of Marcus Aurelius’ rule. Considered the finest surviving example of a classical age theater still standing in the world, it is one of antiquity’s star attractions. Although the theater is the main reason for a visit here – and for most visitors on a half-day trip from nearby Antalya or Side the theater is all they see – there are more ruins to explore over a vast hilly area if you have time.

The Gallipoli Campaign in World War One saw months of bitter fighting between Allied troops – particularly those of Australia and New Zealand – and the forces of the Ottoman Empire. It was an attempt by the Allies to knock the Ottomans out of the war and its failure marked a high-point for Ottoman forces during the conflict. In modern times, the battlefields of this campaign are marked with a series of memorials, museums and cemeteries where visitors can pay their respects and learn about the sombre history of these costly events. Today, it is at Anzac Cove where the annual commemorative Anzac Day ceremonies are held.
