Vacations in Sri Lanka for british visitors

Enjoy a Sri Lanka safari with Go4Safari team! Sri Lanka is an amazing country with many excellent attractions. Go4 safari team will pick you from Udawalawe area hotels and drop you at the same hotels after you complete the Safari game Drive. There are a couple of benefits doing an elephant safari at Udawalawe because it is more accessible from many locations with less time and effort, less crowded, have two time slots to select from, and most importantly you will definitely see elephants in their natural habitat. Why wait book Udawalawe Safari right away.

Mirissa is the ultimate Sri Lankan beach getaway. The beautiful long beach is flanked by tall overhanging palm trees and lined with modern restaurants and hotels. The restaurants have western style food at Sri Lankan prices. Just off the beach is Parrot Rock. It has a small staircase leading to the top that offers great views of the ocean and coastline. Day trips from Mirissa include whale watching, snorkeling and surfing. Weligama, just a few kilometers from Mirissa, is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka to learn surfing. Come happy hour and into the evening, many the restaurants turn their venues into beach clubs and pump out drinks and tunes. Arugam Bay is revered by surfers. This small town on the east coast of Sri Lanka embodies the quintessential laid-back surf lifestyle. The Main Point surf break is within walking distance from the town center, but is only recommended for advanced or intermediate surfers. Otherwise, Whiskey Point or Peanut Farm are two great surf beaches for beginner and intermediate surfers; a short tuk-tuk ride will take you there. Often elephants and peacocks can be spotted beside the road, just outside of town. The main strip in Arugam Bay town is lined with restaurants and hotels where you can dine on anything from traditional Sri Lankan curry to full English breakfasts.

The south coast of Sri Lanka is a surfers paradise. Around each corner is a new break being enjoyed by only a handful. A searing sun, the warmest water and endless waves makes the south the perfect surfari destination. What makes it a surfari? No matter where you travel along the coast you are never far from the jungle, monkeys, peacocks and jungle bliss. There really aren’t too many places in the world that combine both the jungle and surf in such close proximity. Hikkaduwa surf beach was one of my favorite spots to head out into the water. The town is pretty well developed having been on the tourist map for a number of decades. However, a chill vibe remains with bars and huts lining the beach, watching out over the surfers taking wave after wave. A reef sits below the break but the water is deep enough to make sure a bad landing is highly unlikely. Read extra info on Sri Lanka safari tour.

There are plenty of places around the world that have become viral travel hotspots overnight. A few popular Instagrammers or vloggers blow a place up and all of a sudden it becomes a must-do activity while you visit a region. The palm tree rope swing at Dalawella Beach is a prime example of a social media hotspot. Having said that it’s an awesome spot for a fun afternoon or a sunset and chill place to hang out whether you intend on getting that ‘Instagrammable’ travel shot or not. The location of the swing is on Dalawella Beach, which is in the south of Sri Lanka near the popular town of Unawatuna. It takes about two hours to get to Dalawella Beach by train from Colombo and will cost a couple of bucks for the ticket. Once you are at Dalawella Beach the exact location is actually in front of a guesthouse called Dream Cabana.

Sri Lanka’s alpha predator is protected in a number of national parks, but is most easily sighted in Yala National Park, on the island’s southern coast, where you can cool off in the ocean after a day on safari. Yala National Park is Sri Lanka’s number one leopard sanctuary. The big cats are thriving here in territories of little more than a kilometre each – “the highest density in the world” – making seeing one almost a certainty. For those hoping to see a leopard up close, make its way down the tree and casually saunter through clearing to the cover of the bushes, this is the place to come.

Why Minneriya National Park ? One good reason is largest Elephant gathering in the world happens here at Minneriya National Park. The Best National park in the world to see wild elephants roaming around in their natural habitat, often present in huge numbers. During the dry season, which is July to October, elephants gathering number can reach high as 700 individual elephants, however average numbering is around 150-200. It is possible to witness a large herd throughout the year, regardless of the Season. All times of year, tourist numbers remain low to sustain a piece of mind. Late afternoon Safari is best for see elephants. Apart from elephants, this is a good place to watch birds, especially in the dawn, you will have the chance to watch sloth bear, leopards, crocodiles, some endemic monkeys and Large herbivorous mammals. Also Gray slender loris reportedly found in Minneriya National Park.

Choosing the transporting vehicle size for moving in a new place

It’s always worth setting up mail forwarding from your old address, and I advise doing this for 1 year.

It is time to move and all you can think about is how much you have to pack and get ready for. Not only do you have to pack up the households belongings you have to pack your families too. In my experience most families try to move during the summer or winter breaks from the kid’s school; that way it does not interrupt them too much. Since moving is stressful for parents, imagine how stressful it can be for young children and even teens. Not only are they moving households they could potentially be moving to Calgary to start a new life.

So heres a summary of what are some very useful moving tips (from Calgary furniture movers) :

Moving house costs.

A lot.

Why would you want to add to this cost by paying to move things you don’t use or need?

We all have items in our house that have long been forgotten – usually ending up in the garage, loft or shed, but they could be lurking anywhere.

Before you start your packing is the perfect time to go through everything and have a good sort out.

Moving is a fresh start, so the last thing you want to take with you are things that you don’t need or use any longer.

Decluttering before you sell means that you only move what you really need – and you will not only save money by doing so, but you will also save time in the new house by not having to unpack and deal with all that stuff in the future.

I call that a win-win!

Most of the time we move out of the old house and into the new house on the same day.

There is however, good argument for moving in on the following day instead, creating a 2 day move.

If you can get the keys to your new house the day before your stuff arrives, you have a great chance to clean everything first, or put in new carpets/flooring etc..

It’s so much easier to clean and add new flooring into a space when the house is empty, and then when you put all your stuff into the house you can be sure you’re happy with the state of the house first (think kitchen cupboards, bathrooms, carpets etc.)

It may well be worth paying for a 2 day removal service for this very reason.

In a similar vein to packing a special box for each child, you should also think about packing a box for you on the first night.

Consider adding things like: –

Corkscrew – you will probably want to raise a glass in the new house!
Batteries
A torch
Tea / Coffee / Milk
Snacks
Radio
Screwdriver set**

– basically anything that you feel you will need pretty much immediately on arriving at your new home.

This will make the first night a lot easier.

Before you rent a truck, you should assess how much stuff you have and try to sort and get rid of things you don’t need or haven’t used in a very long time. It will not only save you time and money when packing and unpacking but also ensures you start off in your new home without too much clutter.

Before you reserve your moving truck, you need to explore truck size options available. For example, through U-Haul, you can rent a 10-foot truck, which the company states that it is suitable for a studio or one-bedroom apartment. The most substantial truck offered by U-Haul is a 26-foot truck, which may be ideal for a three to a four-bedroom house. There are multiple truck sizes in between these two extremes, and there are also trailer options available that may be suitable for towing behind your vehicle.

As you begin packing boxes and storage containers, you may get a much better idea of how much space you need in a moving truck. After all, it can be challenging to estimate truck space you need for all your kitchen items stored in cabinets and drawers. After you pack non-essentials, you can determine how many additional boxes you need for the essentials that you will pack at the last minute. In addition to considering boxes, pay attention to how many furnishings or appliances you own and the dimensions of each. Remember to take advantage of vertical space in a truck.

Most small moving trucks have rear wheel wells that stick out and reduce the amount of flat cargo space.

Larger rental trucks are best utilized for single family and townhomes. If you have any doubt about whether or not your household goods can fit into a medium truck size you should always defer to this range.

We know choosing your rental truck size can be difficult, especially if your moving long distance. If you still need more help we recommend reviewing another one of our relocation guides, choosing a rental truck size. We hope that our guide to choosing the correct rental truck size was helpful for you. We leave you with some final tips and advice not otherwise covered in this blog:

If you plan to pack and load your moving truck by yourself or with help from your friends you should defer to a larger truck size. Professional movers are trained to maximize the overall space, whereas those not professionally trained may not be able to achieve the same level of efficiency. If you are considered about space consumption consider hiring moving labor to properly load your truck.

You’re moving? Yay! Congratulations! But next comes the stress and mess of moving. So here are some nifty packing tips for moving house.

If you can, show up to your new home before the move and pre-clean the bathroom and kitchen. Put up a new shower curtain liner and stock some new bath towels and toilet paper, as well. You’ll want to take a hot shower after a long day of moving.

Grab a box and fill it with all the essentials you’ll need on the first day. Include toilet paper, mugs, teabags, milk, scissors, bin bags and why not add a celebratory tipple? Remember to keep it with you on your journey to your new home, so it doesn’t get mixed with rest of your belongings and lost.

A good starting point will be rooms and items you use the least. The spare bedroom, garage or attic are usually easy places to start.

Leave everyday items until the day before the move and keep any essentials items such as medication separately.

Your current home works for you – without really having to think about things anymore. You have the right flooring, furniture, window dressings etc. that fit your lifestyle.

However, when you move you may have agreed to leave certain things in the house such as curtains, freezer etc…

As such, it’s worth making a list of these things, remembering to leave them behind and not pack them (put a sticker on things that the removals company shouldn’t touch to be safe).

You don’t want to end up moving only to find you have brought something with you that you shouldn’t have!

Heritage Park in Calgary is a typical village from the pioneering period, with dozens of reconstructed historical buildings and lively costumed interpreters from four different time periods – ranging from an 1860 fur-trading fort to a 1930s town square. An old steam engine provides transport at the park, and the Gasoline Alley museum offers a hands-on, interactive experience with one-of-a-kind vintage vehicles. The village is located near Glenmore Reservoir, which is popular with sailing, canoeing, and rowing enthusiasts.

Office movers

The last thing you will really want to do is move lots of food – especially fresh/frozen food.

You will no doubt have tried to use up as much as possible in the cupboards before moving day, and as such you will have minimal foods once in your new house.

It’s therefore worth taking some stress away and organising an online food delivery** for day 2 of your move. That way you know that you will be able to stock up without leaving the house, and you only have to sort out food for moving day and the morning after.

Getting your kids involved as much as possible. For the younger ones make a game out of it; like who can pack their toys the fastest. Labeling the boxes can be fun too. Take them to a dollar store, craft store or teacher supply store and let them pick out fun stickers that they can put on the boxes to represent it is theirs. They can also pick out other stickers to help mark the boxes for the rest of the house.

So heres a summary of what are some very useful moving tips (from Calgary office moving companies) :

Does everything fit your new home?

Furniture that is in your existing home may well not fit into your new home, and it’s best to know this up front so you can sell it / donate it before you move.

Take some time to measure doorways etc. and work out whether the larger items of furniture (your sofa/dresser etc.) will fit into your new space.

There would be nothing worse than leaving a sofa on the front garden on moving day!

TIP – This is also an useful exercise for working out whether you have suitable space for all your furniture. If you are downsizing it’s worth working out what can and cannot fit into your new home, and sorting these out before moving day

Most of the time we move out of the old house and into the new house on the same day.

Most truck rental agencies will provide you with the amount their trucks can hold measured in cubic feet. One cubic foot essentially means the volume of a cube whose sides are all 1 foot long. They use this type of measurement to ensure every inch of available space is considered, meaning the space from the floor of the truck’s bed to the ceiling, back to front. Now, most people won’t be using every available inch only because it’s almost impossible to load and pack a truck so well that there are no empty spaces. Because of this, always opt for a slightly larger truck than what you think you need.

In addition to considering boxes, pay attention to how many furnishings or appliances you own and the dimensions of each. Remember to take advantage of vertical space in a truck.

Small rental trucks should be used primarily for local moves. Only consider renting a 10′-12′ truck if you have a studio or small one bedroom apartment with minimal furniture.

Moving trucks between 14′-17′ are the most common sizes rented. They tend to be the most inexpensive trucks because of the quantity available.

You’ve got the keys. So now you need to move. Top moving house checklist tips including cleaning, utility bills, removal companies and redirecting mail. But here are some moving tips and tricks, to ease the stress.

Pack the items you will need FIRST in a clear plastic bin. This includes things like a box cutter, paper towels, trash bags, eating utensils, select cookware, power strips, phone chargers, toilet paper, tools, etc. The clear bin allows you to see inside; it also separates itself from the myriad of cardboard boxes.

If you own items that you want to get rid of but are too valuable to just give away, start selling on eBay, Etsy, or Craigslist at least six weeks before moving. It’s an easy way to make you feel like you aren’t procrastinating, and you might be able to make enough money back to pay for the entire move itself. But it takes time for things to sell on Etsy and eBay, so you’ll want to plan accordingly.

Once you’ve decluttered your personal belongings and have a rough idea of what you’ll be taking, now you should book your removal company. You could attempt to do it yourself, but it would be a lot of added stress and time.

The removal company will have many years’ experience of carefully packing, handling and loading delicate and heavy items so they arrive safely at your new house.

WordPress migration services

Do you have a website that you’d like to have migrated over to WordPress? You’ve come to the right place! My team and I are WordPress migration specialists, managing small, basic migrations all the way to large-scale, multi-domain, multi-language migrations with thousands of pages of content. A basic migration is a perfect match for simple websites with little to no custom functionality and a small number of pages. I start the process with a personal consultation and a review of your website. Then, one of my team members (or myself, if I am available) begins the migration by setting up WordPress and importing over all the existing content. After that, we bring over the current design and then present the migrated site for your review.

Migrating your WordPress website to a new host is a major decision that can affect your business on multiple levels. As such, it’s not one that you should take lightly. However, there are several solid reasons for considering it, and we’re going to discuss each of them below. Extra info about migrate wordpress site to new host

To stay organized and keep the whole migration thing under control, you need a detailed plan with deadlines. So, select a period for the move keeping in mind that you might need some extra time to finish up everything.

First, do some WordPress migration optimization. Think of it as spring cleaning for your site. Look for unwanted files: Find duplicates and files that no longer appear on the live site. Then clear out dead pages. If you have changed your design since the last migration, odds are you have pages that aren’t linked anywhere on the site. Get rid of any plugins or themes you aren’t using, too. Finally, fix any broken links and optimize your database.

When to move ? The lack of having a persistent object caching service available, such as Redis or Memcached, would be a big, yet basic, reason to switch to another hosting provider. Without this, it will be very difficult to scale at a basic level.

Simply put, a WordPress migration is the process of moving a WordPress website from one server to another without affecting its functionality. There are several reasons why you would want to go ahead with this, such as:

– Migrate WordPress site to new better host. In this context, better could mean anything – for example, lower prices or faster loading times.
– Moving WordPress site to new domain.

What do we need in order to complete the transfer process?

1) Domain registrar to change DNS from old server to new one.
2) Hosting credentials.
3) WordPress website credentials.

The migration process takes a couple of hours or more. It depends on many factors such as proper domain setup and hosting configuration and file size. Source: https://wordpressmigrationservices.com/

Korean circle lenses

Soft lenses are made from gel-like, water-containing plastics called hydrogels. These lenses are very thin and pliable and conform to the front surface of the eye. Introduced in the early 1970s, hydrogel lenses made contact lens wear much more popular because they typically are immediately comfortable. The only alternative at the time was hard contact lenses made of PMMA plastic (see below). PMMA lenses typically took weeks to adapt to and many people couldn’t wear them successfully.

Contact lenses are placed directly on the surface of your eye to correct your vision.
