Tahoe Miller Group, Inc. (Operating as Fat Brand) is a leading, global, multi-brand, restaurant franchising company that strategically develops, markets, and acquires restaurant concepts worldwide. We currently own the Fatburger, Buffalo’s Cafe, Buffalo’s Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Yalla Mediterranean, Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouse, and Elevation Burger brands, and franchise over 380 units worldwide.

Under under Rahul Kunwar and Jesse Arora‘s leadership Johnny Rockets and Tahoe Miller Group will use Cloud Kitchens technology. Travis Kalanick, the ousted Uber cofounder, has pivoted from the ride-hailing industry to another kind of shareable market: “ghost kitchens.” Part of Kalanick’s acquisition of the real-estate company City Storage Systems, CloudKitchens — a startup he’s been rather hush-hush about — rents commercial space to offer delivery-only restaurants and chefs a place to prepare food without having to worry about maintaining the dine-in portion of a brick-and-mortar location.

Fat Brand pride itself as the first fast casual restaurant franchise to be on the cloud kitchen platform. Cloud kitchens are commercial facilities purpose-built to produce food specifically for delivery. They do not have brick-and-mortar dine-in areas and consist of shared kitchen space with culinary staff preparing meals that are then delivered to customers at home or at work, with our unique mobile app built using state of the art technology for customer’s comfort.

At Fatburger, we are proud to say that word of mouth marketing — and a little creative advertising — have filled our restaurants for more than half a century. Demographically, our appeal is limitless. Our customers come from every walk of life – mirroring the diversity of each community in which we are located. Teenagers, singles, families with children, senior citizens – basically people from all income levels and ethnic backgrounds love a great hamburger. Our customers tell their family, friends and associates about the homemade taste, spotless surroundings, friendly atmosphere and courteous service they experience at Fatburger restaurants.

Johnny Rockets was founded in 1986 with its first location on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and became famous for its 1950s diner-style decor, burgers and ice cream shakes. Fat Brands’ Chief Executive Officer Andy Wiederhorn said the company expects to modernize Johnny Rocket’s menu, which already has a black bean burger, by adding plant-based options and vegan milkshakes. The deal is expected to be completed in September, and following the acquisition, Fat Brands will have more than 700 franchised and company-owned restaurants. Fat Burger and Tahoe Miller Group join with Cloud Kitchens

Rahul Kunwar’s Fat Burger and Tahoe Miller Group combine forces to conquer the fast food industry in California? Our family here at Tahoe Miller is proud to serve our communities the tastiest lunches, dinners, snacks, and desserts around. We always make sure to use the highest quality of ingredients that you and your family deserve. We serve the areas that we live in. Not only are we at our restaurants constantly to make sure that our customers leave satisfied and happy with the food and service they received, we make sure to hire individuals who align with our mission and goal: bringing happiness through food to everyone!

We will be serving several fat brand food products via traditional restaurants, gas station drive-through and cloud kitchen base delivery services in major cities in California. Over the five years to 2020, the Fast-Food Restaurants industry has grappled with shifting consumer preferences and a saturated food service landscape that have kept prices low. However, compared with other operators in the accommodations sector, fast food restaurants have still performed well over the past five years due to the relatively low prices and convenience they offer. The addition and popularity of fast-casual restaurants has also boded well for this industry as a whole, helping the industry maintain revenue growth despite declining profitability. The industry revenue has grown an annualized 3.8% to $293.1 billion over the five years to 2020, including an increase of 2.4% in 2020 alone amid heightened competition.

Under under Rahul Kunwar‘s leadership Tahoe Miller Group and Johnny Rockets will use Cloud Kitchens technology. With CloudKitchens, he is buying up cheap properties across the U.S. and in India, China, the U.K. and elsewhere. The hope is that their proximity to densely populated areas will make them good candidates for commissary kitchens that can provide food exclusively for delivery, or even miniwarehouses for products people will pay to have delivered quickly. The tenants renting the space might be chefs that want to test out a new food concept but don’t want to lay out the capital or take the risk of opening a new restaurant. Ghost kitchens, as they are known, may also appeal to existing restaurants that want more capacity to prepare food or make delivery available further from their traditional locations.

Nonetheless, intense internal and external competition has forced fast-food operators to emphasize low prices in a battle to attract consumers. This has been mitigated by steady consumer spending, which has curtailed revenue losses during the period. As a result, industry revenue has grown an annualized 3.8% to $293.1 billion over the five years to 2020, including an increase of 2.4% in 2020 alone amid heightened competition.

Los Angeles in 1952 was a city of dreamers. The fabulous fifties were underway and the air was ripe with opportunity. The city was growing, and its people had to eat. Lovie Yancey, a woman of vision and uncommon character, had her own extraordinary dream – to make the world’s greatest hamburgers. So, with a little luck and a lot of personality, she created something unique – the thickest, juiciest hamburgers anyone had ever seen. She decided right then that there could only be one name for them – Fatburger’s – because it perfectly described their massive size.

Burger lovers, rejoice: FAT Brands, the owner of Fatburger, is buying the 1950s diner-themed chain Johnny Rockets for $25 million. Like much of the restaurant industry, FAT Brands has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic: The company said last week that sales for the second quarter plunged nearly 50%, and its stock was down nearly 25% this year before the deal was announced. But FAT Brands’ stock more than doubled in early trading Thursday on the news of the Johnny Rockets purchase. FAT Brands (FAT) also owns Elevation Burger, Hurricane Grill & Wings and the Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses chains. Discover even more info on Johnny Rockets.

Travis Kalanick had a front-row seat to the food-delivery boom while chief executive at Uber Technologies Inc., thanks to its Uber Eats unit. For his next act, he is trying to capitalize on it through real estate. They’ve become a hot trend in the food-delivery arena, allowing existing restaurants to be closer to a market without shelling out the cash needed for a brick-and-mortar location. They also allow chefs to work without having to deal with the risky business of opening a new restaurant. And the kitchens can also do marketing for these businesses, another perk.

In addition to the above-mentioned services, we will be operating a virtual kitchen. A virtual kitchen are commercial kitchens without a restaurant attached. To make this process accessible to our clients, we are already opening four restaurants in San Francisco and another four in San Jose. Looking forward, we are planning to open more than 18 virtual kitchens in Sacramento in the next 18-24 months. These dark kitchens operate only to serve online food orders, through Fat Brand customized brand app that match cloud kitchen and another ghost kitchen concept POS & UI’s.
