Mahjong is a ancient table game that was invented in China. As with any good product it was adopted by many cultures around the world. There are many digital versions of Mahjong games that were created based on the traditional Mahjong tiles. After the People’s Republic of China took control of the government in 1949, all gambling activities were prohibited including mahjong. Mah Jong became known by many different appellations, such as the wordy “Game of a Thousand Intelligences” and “Pung Chow”.
